Request your account download
In Strava’s Settings, open My Account. In Download your account, choose Get Started, then Request download. Strava emails the download link; it can take a few hours.
Strava to Wahoo
Bring your Strava history to Wahoo using your exported activity files. Connect Wahoo in Quantified Self, choose the recordings, and review them before sending. Connecting the destination and sending activities require Pro. This is a one-time file transfer, not automatic Strava sync.
1 · Export from Strava
Use the Strava website on a computer. Quantified Self has no Strava connection; this transfer starts with files you download yourself.
In Strava’s Settings, open My Account. In Download your account, choose Get Started, then Request download. Strava emails the download link; it can take a few hours.
Unzip the downloaded archive and find the activity recordings. Keep the original files. The account ZIP, activities.csv, photos and other account records are not activity files to upload.
Open your own activity on Strava’s website and choose Export Original from its three-dot menu. The downloaded format depends on the original recording; it is not always FIT.
2 · Send to Wahoo
With Pro, open Connections and connect the Wahoo account that should receive your workouts. Review the optional history import before authorizing: it imports existing destination workouts into QS and is not required for this transfer. Under Wahoo, choose Send activities to open the sending workspace.
Choose Local files → Choose FIT files. Select extracted FIT or FIT.gz recordings and wait for preparation. Review the receiving account, ready files and exclusions, then confirm Send. If preparation was interrupted, use Review prepared activities to continue. These files are not added to your QS activity archive.
Use Upload on Dashboard to save your recordings in QS. Decompress .fit.gz to .fit first for the Dashboard file picker. Return to Connections → Wahoo → Send past activities. Choose Saved activities, select Uploaded to QS in Activity sources, set your dates and choose Preview saved activities. Preview sends nothing. Review the ready and excluded files, then confirm Send.
Wahoo may continue processing after it accepts an upload. Recent sends keeps per-file results. Confirmed sends continue after you leave the page. Queued and Waiting for provider do not mean Delivered. If the result is uncertain, check the destination before sending another copy.

FAQ
Extract the account archive first and choose individual workout recordings. The account CSV and photos are not supported activity recordings. Keep your export as a backup.
You can upload supported GPX and TCX recordings to QS for analysis, subject to your plan’s activity limit. Sending activities to a provider requires an eligible original FIT file. QS does not convert GPX or TCX uploads to FIT for delivery, and changing the filename extension will not make them eligible. Try the original recording from your device or recording service if available.
Only the information present in each supported recording can transfer. This workflow does not migrate Strava comments, kudos, segments, photos or the full account archive, and it does not guarantee identical destination statistics. Review a small batch first, especially if workouts already exist in the destination.
Start with a few recordings and check the destination before continuing. Local-file sends allow up to 50 FIT or FIT.gz files per batch, 20 MiB compressed and expanded per file, and 200 MiB total temporary storage per account. Use smaller batches if you reach those limits. Sending from your QS archive still requires eligible retained FIT originals.
Open the batch in Recent sends and read each file’s status. Finished counts include exclusions and failures, not just deliveries. Use Review connection for a connection issue, Check status for an accepted upload, or Retry sending only when it is offered after a confirmed failure. If acceptance is uncertain, check the destination before sending another copy.
No. There is no Strava connection in QS. Download and send new files yourself when needed. Connecting the destination or confirming this transfer does not turn on ongoing Strava sync.
Next Step
Start with a few exported FIT files, review the results, and continue with the rest of your history once they look right.
