Visual History

Scan training days at the scale you need

The calendar keeps the same activity-group language from the dashboard while adapting its layout to the available space.

Week, Month, and Year views

Move one week, month, or year at a time, return to today, and keep the selected view and date in the URL.

Duration-scaled activity circles

Colors identify activity groups and circle size reflects recorded duration. Compact calendars place multiple groups concentrically around one center.

Day activity details

Select an active day to review its total duration, activity-group totals, and individual workouts without leaving calendar context.

Period Context

Read totals and activity mix below the calendar

The selected period has its own summary and duration comparison, independent from dashboard event-search filters and custom tile ranges.

Distance, duration, and ascent

Read selected-period totals above the calendar in your preferred units. Adjacent dates shown only to complete a month grid do not change month totals.

Activity-group duration bars

Each bar compares one group with the longest recorded group in the period. Available duration, distance, ascent, and descent totals appear beneath it.

Your week and summary settings

Weekday order follows the configured start of week, units follow account preferences, and ascent or descent exclusions also apply to calendar summaries.

FAQ

Activity Calendar FAQ

Which activities appear in the calendar?

The calendar uses normal activity events already imported or uploaded to your private Quantified Self account. Merge and benchmark records are excluded so comparison artifacts do not inflate training days or totals.

What do the calendar circle colors and sizes mean?

Color identifies the activity group, such as Running, Cycling, Mountain Biking, Swimming, or Indoor Sports. Size reflects recorded duration, with a bounded scale so long activities remain readable.

Does the activity calendar follow the dashboard event search?

No. The full calendar queries its visible week, month, or year independently. The dashboard calendar tile also loads its own current-month window rather than reusing event-table search results.

Can I change the first day of the week and measurement units?

Yes. Start of week and unit preferences come from Settings. Weekend columns remain identifiable, and the selected start day is marked in the weekday header.

Next Step

See the rhythm behind the activity list

Start with the current month, open a day for individual workouts, then move to Week or Year when you need a tighter or broader view of training consistency.
